How can I import songs from Excel? The Excel Import button doesn't work.

Applies To: KJ Pro version 1.5

An easy alternative method for importing songs from Excel is with "Copy" and "Paste Append." Here's how:

1. Set up your Excel spreadsheet so that the songs have the following column headings:

Title Artist  Manu  DiscNo  TrackNo

Note: If you have exported a songbook from KJ Pro, it will have a column called "Description." Rename this column to "Manu." If there is already a column called "Manu" in addition to the "Description" column, delete the "Manu" column before renaming "Description" to "Manu."

2. Select the range of songs you want to copy, including the column headings in your selection (KJ Pro requires the column headings to match the fields to the ones used in the program). Use "Control + C" to copy them to the Windows clipboard (or use the Edit -> Copy menu).

3. Open KJ Pro and open the custom songbook that you wish to hold the songs. Then click "Add Songs" at the top of the window.

4. Click the "Paste Append" button at the top of the window. Your Excel songs should now be imported into your custom songbook.
